Yesterday, I made it home to Rome! It was a sort of bittersweet return. As much as I love it here, I had such an incredible trip to the States. But, I needed to be with Nick and the kitties. I missed them terribly.
I successfully got my study visa after months of anxiety and stress! I was so happy when I left the Italian consulate on Jan. 20, knowing that things would be ok. I also managed to see the majority of my family and so many friends. It truly was a fantastic three weeks.
But I am glad to be back to my normal routine, as hard as it is to refocus and get back to work. I still have evil looming deadlines, but I know I will meet them. It always works out.
And now, back to work!
