Things have been looking up for us in that arena. Our party was so much fun and proved to us that we do have friends, and a fair number at that. Let's hope it stays that way or even improves, since we'll be here for quite some time.
Anyhow, we've been friends with Parker for about a year and a half. We met him through Sarah and Kevin, and got on well enough that we've stayed friends even after Sarah and Kevin moved away. We asked Parker to stop by and check on our cats while we were gone over Christmas, and he happily did so. We wanted to thank him, so we got him a little something. When we tried to arrange seeing each other to give him his gift, he invited us to go to a Flyers game with him and his girlfriend, Ashley. We happily accepted, especially since they didn't want any money for the tickets!
We had them over for dinner before the game. I made white chicken enchiladas with Mexican rice. They didn't stay too long before we headed off to the game.

We knew the tickets were good, but we were flabbergasted with just how good they were. We were three rows off the ice! This was only my second NHL game. Nick's been to several and he said these were the best seats he ever had. See how excited we are?
Amazing seats.
Please ignore my lack of Flyers' paraphernalia
It was such a fun night! At out party we talked about how we had to get together in January, and I'm so glad we did. We're already working out plans to see them again soon during Restaurant Week, our favorite time of year. Hopefully this friend fun bodes well for the upcoming semester. I'll try not to get too sucked in so that we never have any fun.
i am so excited that you guys still hang out! :) and dang, those ARE good seats!!
