I have a small update on the AC front: another repairman came out to give us an estimate on replacing the system and told us the first guy was wrong. It can be fixed! But, now we don't know what to believe. We decided to reup our home warranty and go that route instead. We'll see how it turns out.
Anyhow, how about some positivity? My love for adventures during the summer is
pretty well documented on this blog. We started out summer 2011 in fine fashion when Nick found us two festivals to attend two weekends ago in Center City. Our first stop of the day was Franklin Square and the PanAsian festival.

This was actually a bit less exciting than we were hoping, but we did make sure to stop by Square Burger to try a TastyKake Shake. It was totally worth it!
Then we hoofed across town to the Rittenhouse Spring Festival. Walnut Street was closed to traffic. There were hundreds of people enjoying the gorgeous day and trying LOTS of different food, courtesy of the downtown restaurants and many Steven Starr establishments. This is our ideal festival.
Live music and dancing:

Waiting in line for some tacos:

Loving the beautiful day downtown. Isn't Nick an excellent photographer?

The next day, we actually headed out to Upper Darby to go to the Greek Festival. It was a bit of a bust, although we stuffed ourselves on gyros, souvlaki, spanakopita, and delicious Greek desserts.
It was a fantastic way to kick off the summer! We're hoping to see many more festivals soon!
